The Ranch

Lost Trail Ranch is a 44 acre reining horse breeding and training facility located in thebeautiful foothills of Ione, California.The ranch wasfounded by Dick Randall who found his passion for horses more than 20 years ago. With his knowledge about the horses needs he created amind-blowing facility which is not only functional but impressive and offerseverything you need to raise and train World Class reiners. Dick is very involved in the horse industry on the West Coast and is the biggest donor of the WCRHA. He is also one ofthe biggestsupporters of the Stem cell research at UC Davis and made it possible for the University to build a veterinary regenerative-medicine program through major donations. He also brought the outstanding stallion, Topsail Cody, to the West Coast to make a huge impact on thequality of horses at Lost Trail Ranch and the entire West Coast horse industry.

The foals at Lost Trail Ranch come from the highest quality performing mares and stallions of today's industry and the staff ismorethanqualified to make sure our horses perform at their full potential. The facility offers two large covered arenas (200x350 and180x250) and a 60 foot round pen to keep theexceptionally bred horses in the best shape possible. Dick simply wants the best for his horsesand thedevelopment of his youngsters and provides them with the best care possible. The big irrigated pastures help the young horses togrow up in a natural environment which is crucial for mental and physical development of a healthy equine athlete.
